Senior Product Manager – Bincom Dev Center – Lagos – Salary – 250k

Social Lender is looking for a seasoned Product Manager who is able to lead a product team and create products based on pain points experienced by customers and analyse products from the process until the product is received by the customer. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll out products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy. This also includes managing issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.

Responsibilities

Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members
Represent the customer (be a proxy) within the development process
Articulate the product vision
Write requirements – typically as user stories and epics
Maintain and prioritize the product backlog
Track releases
Participate in daily scrum meetings, planning, reviews and retrospectives
Support the development team with any questions they may have
Translate business strategy into product strategy
Own the product roadmap
Execute product strategy
Drive action throughout the organization to get products to market
Plan and carry out product launches
Manage product profitability and commercial success – own the business case
Provide insight to stakeholders on the product and market
Provide product marketing with insights on key differentiators and messages
Write high-level requirements
Support the Product Owner and Product Marketer with any questions they may have
Manage all aspects of in-life products, including customer feedback, requirements, and issues

Required Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
3+ years of Proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager
3+ years of work experience working with digital-led product
Experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment
Previous experience with gathering requirements from the client/business and documentation
3+ years of experience with full product lifecycle with understanding of development lifecycle and various technology methodologies that support that lifecycle
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint with experience presenting to stakeholders and Senior Leadership
Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
Able to develop a market understanding quickly
Experience working with data-centric product
Strong communication skills
Financial services or Fintech experience is an added advantage
Start-up experience
Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities
